Introduction to the course

In this Course you will learn the importance of multicultural teams for integration of migrants at work in agriculture and of services and networks favouring the matching between farm owners and migrants. 

You will particularly learn:

  • Migrant condition and integration from the hospitality centres to work – Module 1
  • Building and managing multicultural work teams – Module 2
  • Communication, professional valorization and networking – Module 3

Theoretical knowledge, practical examples and essence of multiculturality as an integration process of migrants in agriculture will be provided, within a guided learning and tailored approach implementing the competences needed from all sides, employers, employees and migrants, integrated in farm multicultural teams at farm.

Communication, professional valorization and networking

  • Discover the importance of networking with social partners, public bodies and hospitality centres to support the integration of migrant workers into rural communities.

MILIMAT is a 2-year project funded by the EU Erasmus+ Programme that focuses on integrating migrants into multicultural agricultural teams. The project aims to develop several training resources for farmers and migrant workers in agriculture, with the goal of promoting fair labor relations and encouraging commitment to European labor rights. MILIMAT is led by the CIA Agricoltori Italiani Umbria (Italian Farmers’ Confederation of Umbria).
